Who Called My Phone?

I just began receiving text messages from sales people and want to trace their numbers?

I’m surprised that Im getting these types of texts and would like to trace their numbers because I don’t want them calling or texting my cell phone. I can’t find information about the numbers associated with the texts in 411.

Thanks

Texts to cell phones from Sales People are getting more common.

If you choose to put your number on the national do not call list keep in mind that whoever is calling your has 30 days comply. That means they can legally text you for 30 days following the time you add your number to the list.

There is no separate Do Not Call list for cell phones so you will just be adding your number to the same list everyone else uses.

If you have done business with this texter or any of their subsidieries they are allowed to call your for 18 months regardless of your status on the Do Not Call List

Also, any non-profit agency or telephone survey company can call you legally.

If you reply to the text with a message of "remove me" the person might do it. But to trace the number and identify their name and number is easiest done by a reverse 411 or reverse look up company.

All the free ones give you only public information and these sales people love to hide behind the rules.

If you pay a small fee you can access private databases containing the name and owner of the phone in question and either call them and tell them to stop, or file a complaint with the authorities if they are harassing you.

In most cases once you have their Identity and they know it, they will simply move on to another target. It’s a numbers game with this guys and protecting yourself with access to the same information they use to find you is the best thing to do.

A site with all types of information on the rules for contacting people and how to stop it is http://traceacellnumber.com/phone/ .

I had a similar problem and read a bunch of stuff on their site.

They are also consumer guard verified which means that consumer guard checked out there site and determined that they are a legitimate company providing a legitimate service. A lot of reverse white pages sites don’t have this and I hate spending money on sites without trust seals.

I hope this information helps you and good luck with getting rid of your texter.
