How can I find someone’s cell phone number?

I need to find my uncle’s cell phone number.

I don’t know what carrier he’s with.

Does 411 also cover cell phone numbers?
I haven’t heard from my uncle in about 20 years. We need to contact him for a funeral.
I haven’t heard from my uncle in about 20 years. We need to contact him for a funeral.

There are no free cell phone directories.

If your uncle has been out of touch for 20 years, he doesn’t want contact. He is well aware that family members are going to die.

Do payphones always come up as residential on a reverse phone lookup site?

Ok, I have these weird phone numbers on my cell phone that I don’t recognize and I started searching them one by one at reverse phone lookup sites (switchboard, whitepages and www.411.com) Anyway, these numbers came up as residential numbers and they are in my city and state too. I remember husband calling me from work on a payphone but a payphone wouldn’t come up as a residential line would it?

A payphone is not counted as a residential number by the phone company. If you are looking for the best reverse phone lookup service, visit this site

Adding an old YIM friend on a new account with limited information and no other contact… can it be done?

Problem one: I really want to get back in touch with a friend who I haven’t seen since he moved away from my school last year. Problem is, he changed his cell phone number and I don’t know what the new one is, and I forgot his e-mail since I never used it anyway. I know he’s not avoiding me, because we’re good friends, and he left a message on my phone saying "Hey I haven’t talked to you in so long!" (with more detail of course) But he didn’t leave his new number and I didn’t know how to check messages for their numbers… still don’t, but I forgot about "missed calls" and erased all the call data since then. Oops. ^^;

Problem two: Anyway, then I remembered he’s on my friendlist for my old YIM account, code_lyoko_411 with yuyu_princess@bellsouth.net as it’s e-mail. New problem: I can’t get back in. It’s the account’s birthday… actually, he made the account for me and just told me the username/password for me to change when I wanted because I was busy, but back when I let him do that for me for several other things too, he tended to change the birthday randomly instead of using my real one, probably because that’s what he’s used to doing (neopets was one, I can’t get into that account anymore because of the birthday, too). I forgot my password, and I can’t get it sent to my e-mail because I don’t know/can’t remember what he set my birthday as.

Okay, here’s what I do know: my old account is actually on my friendlist for my new one, and in the updates it calls him "Cody V" (even though that’s not his real name, naturally…) since he used the same alias on neopets, I’m assuming the last name is something to the effect of "Vanderhoosy", though the spelling is obviously off because I searched that on the yahoo search and he didn’t come up.

This is my old account’s profile: http://profiles.yahoo.com/code_lyoko_411?fmt=2.0&intl=us&os=win&ver=9.0.0.2034 (It says Michael P and that I’m a dude, but that’s because that’s really his name… he must have used it when he signed me up, and I only noticed today because I never bother with profiles)
And this is his most recent avatar change, according to my old account’s updates: http://avatars.yahoo.com/vitality?k=1MdT10ZCKAAAB_OFGxKWuF_YA&d=8NMSNd1nUMTE93Tcr.xgdx9ZUh3BHskZtiXXkiIDAFgWiviRixSMT_ATg0Zun2V2qIcM6LxcnnK2tKE-&__vid__=Y29sbGVjdGlvblR5cGU9YWxpYXMBY29sbGVjdGlvbklEPWNvZGVfbHlva29fNDExAXNvdXJjZT1hdmF0YXJzAWNsYXNzPXBvc3QBdHlwZT1hdnR1cGRhdGUBc3VpZD1fNEdaYTBsSFVNVFBHRVNfU1IzSDN5Zy56WEY4Q0swTXNXNTczUUgwYkpiWGdvV0JTc0NqTW9PWjNvZTI0UlFp

Is it possible at all to find his e-mail/YIM name with this? I’ll understand if it’s not, but I really wanted to try… he probably thinks I’m ignoring him or have forgotten about him, and when I think of that, I get sad…

With not knowing his real name, nor his Yahoo account name, you can not do much else, but to hope that he will call back again.
As for your own account, yes it is a problem that you don’t know any of the data what was used when it was opened.
There is no way Yahoo will issue you a new password without that.
Try to remember, maybe it comes to you.
If it was recently and you did not do any major maintenance work on your computer, perhaps you can get a password recovery utility what might find the old passwords in your registry files.

How can I trace a number calling me over and over!?

It is a local number that keeps calling my cell phone, multiple times per day. When I pick up, all I hear is beeping, and when I hang up I recieve a text message from verizon saying I’ve recieved a fax from that number….a fax on a cellphone?!

I have searched the phone number in google to see if any other numbers pop up with it, and reverse searched with 411 but no luck. Any advice?

This has been going on for over a week, quite annoying!!

http://www.unitedsleuths.com/reverse-phone.html is a free tool which searches all the free resources online such as Google and Whitepages.

If it can’t find any free information then it shows you the best place to find the information.

looking for a free/or cheap reverse cell phone lookup?

I know that there is 411, but Im not just searching for who the name is for one phone number. I’m looking for a certain name on many different numbers….
Does anyone know a good site that works great for doing a reverse lookup for a cell phone?

I know a site. It’s a paid site, though. But it’s cheap. It’s about $15. The information is accurate and worth it. If you really need to find information on the cell phone number.

I’ll leave the link to the site.

hope this helps…

Long lost crush….?

I met this guy, a marine, about 14 years ago. I was hanging out with friends and we met at a fair. He took my number, and we talked about 3 times a week for several weeks. All the sudden he stopped calling. I found out later that one of my friends ran into him shortly after that. He said he had lost my number and he really wanted to call me, and did she have my number. She said no, and never thought to give him her number. So that he and I could make contact again. I never had his number since he was on the marine base, and using a pay phone every time, (cell phones were pretty new back then). I never got to talk to him again. And I have thought about him ever since. Should I try to some how find him? How do I find him? All I have is his name and where he was stationed at the time, and that he was from Chicago or Boston, or somewhere back east….. not much to go on. I did try to find him by calling numbers I got from 411. Would he think I was crazy for contacting him after so long?

no he would think your interested in him, which is a good thing… so yeah try searching his name in phone book or something, maybe he has a phone number. uhm also maybe go to where hes stationed at and try and find him… that wont creep him out. trust me. itll make him think you really care. really try that… good luck

What would you do in a emergency if you couldn’t find the police dept’s phone #?

Early this morning a dog with no leash or collar went running through my yard. I live near a busy street so I went and got the phone book to look up animal control with no luck, so I decided to look up the police department’s phone number, also with no luck. It’s not under the name of the town, under emergency numbers, or even police. I looked up the police and it only showed 911. This situation didn’t require a emergency, just a concern for someone’s pet. I called the company who makes the phone book and they just said they didn’t know and didn’t know what to tell me. I called 411 on my cell phone and got the number for the police dept., called them and asked them where to look. The dispatcher told me she doesn’t make the phone book and hung up on me. I wrote the number down somewhere I would be able to locate it on the future. Im at a loss. What if a teenager was home alone and needed the police? What would you do about something like this in your town/city?

First, thank you for making the effort to separate real emergencies from calls for service. I applaud you for that, and I’m sorry that you got a nasty response from the dispatcher. It seems no good deed goes unpunished sometimes. Oddly enough, that same dispatcher probably does her share of griping about people calling 911 for non-emergencies.

You did the right thing. Now that you have the number, put it on the fridge and you’ll have it in the future. If someone is home alone, needs the police in an emergency, then certainly dial 911.

As for the dispatcher, it would take a lot for me not to send a nastygram over that, but then I’m an unrepentent prick anyway. You sound like a much nicer person than I am.

What is a 411 number?

My new cell phone plan includes calls to 411 numbers. What the heck are those?

411 is basically a information directory number. You can ask the operator for specific phone numbers or address to any business locations. So if you are planning to drive to a specific store and wanted the phone number of that store, then you can call 411 to get the address or phone number of that store or business location.

Did you know?

Did you know that you can avoid those high price charging of looking up numbers for you on your cell phone? Simply instead of 411 dial (800-373-3411) for information and it will be free. You have to listen to a couple of advertising, but it will save in the long run. Program that number into your cell phone. (800-free-411)
This is ONLY for the ones who care about saving money on your cell phone. The 411 calls are from $1.00 to $1.75 to get a number!

and y would we even WANT to know that?

Can someone else be using my cell phone?

Recently I received my cell phone bill in the mail and it was wrong. I had been charged $3.00 in 411 calls I did not make. When I took a look at my bill I noticed there where many calls all on one day from 12am to 3pm to numbers outside of where I was. I was asleep when the first calls where made and at work with my phone by my side when the others where made, the calls where all made to local cell phones and doctors. The towers that the signals came off of where 2 hours from me, there is no way that I could have made these calls, and I know I had my phone with me the whole day. How could this happen? Any ideas? I did call the cell phone company and they said they would get back to me. I am worried that someone may I have hacked into my cell phone number. Any ideas??

The only way for someone else to use your phone would be to do something that is called "cloning". It is not something easily done and and very unlikely to happen. I’m pretty sure your cellphone carrier made a billing mistake or someone got a hold of your phone. I would call them and go over your bill.
