I received a weird call last week, and wanted to see if I could call my phone carrier and request the information on who called me last Thursday evening (between a specified time).
**Is that possible or do I need some sort of police warrant for those records?

You don’t need any kind of police warrant to get those records. I’m not sure if it’s the same rule for every phone company, but with AT&T I had the same problem about a year ago and all I had to do was ask them for the phone records. Those records are very helpful because they let you know the number, date, time, and city of where either you received the phone call or made it towards.
